**A visit would last aprox 1 hour.
I would bring along a ferret, rabbit, hedgehog, owl and the fox.
Chat about the types of animals I rescue, what has happened to them. each of the creatures has its own story and the group all get the opportunity to pet and feel all the animals as they are all very friendly. Its all very hands on and tactile and interactive which i feel is very important. **
Fun in the woods and Neolithic living history.
Helping construct a Neolithic longhouse and other activities: wattle and daub, clay pots, cooking, bows and arrows etc.
Bring wood and marshmallows or something to cook on the fire (and cooking gear!) if you can, bring a picnic, wet weather gear and a change of clothes, an outdoor activity if you like and most definitely a relaxed attitude to mud!
Always a wonderful day in good company.
All welcome, there is a cafe if you prefer and a small room we can use to picnic if the weather is bad enough to drive us indoors.
Local parent organising a walking or bus tour to see the 'sights' and window shop. Everyone welcome. HEdNI can put you in touch.
Meet in the carpark and walking to the viaduct hopefully for a fire and fun in the forest. Warning there is a deep water small pond here so keep eyes on little ones. 11am in the carpark or just follow the road to the right - or if no pushchair or bikes follow the path through the woods to the viaduct.
Come and start the New Year with a muddy and marvellous time in the wonderful Wild Woods, our visits go ahead in any weather so come prepared, bring extra marshmallows, dry wood, food for lunch and probably a change of clothes. We've done activities from planting to beading, painting, climbing, whittling, digging and den building, its always a great day.
General fun in the forest- e'll take our lunch and just muck around really informal.
