Forest School

Forest School

Our young people have been enjoying forest school sessions with their families. The organiser has very kindly gave us a preview of their regular sessions.

“The Bushcraft forest school is a session out in the mountain fresh air that has many benefits for children of all ages.

Once at the car park there is an unpaved path that leads to the forest with a small shallow river that runs along side it.

Safety is always discussed before any activity and the instructor Wully, is very knowledgeable, friendly and detailed in his instructing.

We all have great fun and  that definitely includes the parents/guardians.

The school covers mindful safety in the outdoors from self awareness to tools.

And not only are we are all hands on with the activities but we are provided with the knowledge to complete them.

Activities such as lighting campfires, building shelters, animal and bug tracking, gardening, using wilderness tools and so much more. Thats just the start of it. The list goes on and on.

This Bushcraft forest school is a safe zone. At the end of the three hour session we are provided with marshmallows and hot chocolate or tea.

Eating and drinking is allowed whenever your hungry.

It is a pay as you go school and that is £5 a child per session.

There is a compost toilet.

Just bring yourselves and of course dress for the weather.”
